The effect of financial inclusion on urban population in Ghana

Background Ghana has witnessed rapid urban population growth over the past decades, which led to vast environmental, settlement, human, and ecological issues. It is therefore extremely important examine factors that influence in provide policy directions for policymakers. Objectives The article examines impact of financial inclusion on using three different measures inclusion. Methods We applied autoregressive distributed lag model (ARDL) historical time-series data covering period 1960 2020. Results estimates from ARDL show exerts a positive effect growth. Specifically, findings confirm knowledge, usage, availability services contribute significantly time. Conclusion this study suggest government institutions should utilize various channels increase usage among individuals living deprived areas where there are limited number institutions.
